Doing well in your studies is very important, and Medley Hall staff members are committed to creating an environment conducive to the achievement of academic excellence.
As a Medley Hall resident you will have access to individual academic and personal guidance and a tutorial program to support your transition to tertiary learning.
Academic support
The Dean of Students and the Resident Tutors offer guidance in a range of subject areas. They will help you to formulate a study plan so that you manage your time most effectively and meet your study goals.
At Medley Hall we celebrate academic success.
In first semester there is a series of study skills seminars focussing on research methods, essay writing and note-taking. Individual mentoring is available for particular study-related problems.
Medley and intercollege tutorials
Medley Hall students have on-site evening tutorials in some popular first-year subjects but you will also have access to the wide range of tutorials in other colleges at the University of Melbourne. Medley Hall funds your attendance at college tutorials where you will add depth and breadth to your understanding of your subject areas and make new friends as well. |
