Does it take long to walk to the University?	When you come to Medley you get regular exercise as part of the package. The walk to the University from Medley Hall takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
Is there a curfew?	At Medley Hall you are free to come and go as you please, just don’t forget your key!
Can I invite friends over for dinner?	We welcome dinner guests but please let our chef know if you invite someone so there will be enough food to go around.
Can friends stay overnight?	During the semester you may have a friend to stay in your room for one night.
Is there a student car park at Medley Hall?	There is parking for bikes but not cars.
Does Medley Hall offer in-house tutorials?	Medley Hall has a comprehensive tutorial program. We offer some popular tutorials in-house and you are welcome to attend tutorials at other colleges. Not only do you have the opportunity to add depth and breadth to your learning, but you can make new friends as well.
How big are the rooms?	The size of the rooms is dependent on whether they are located in the “new” Medley Hall or the old. Most rooms are snug—big enough for a bed, desk, chair, cupboard and a few friends.
What should I bring to Medley Hall?	All you need to bring with you is bed linen, doona, blankets and towels. If you are coming from overseas, you need only bring bed linen and towels. Don’t forget your musical instruments; you will have plenty of opportunity to play.
Are there any telephones in the rooms?	Yes there is a telephone in each room and it is your mobile! If you need a landline there are pay phones on levels one and two. The telephone in the foyer receives calls only.
Is there an internet point in the room?	Medley Hall is a wireless environment so there is easy access to the internet throughout the building. There is also a computer room with eight computers as well as a printer and photocopier.
Do I get the chance to pick a room?	As a new student, your room will be allocated prior to your arrival. Returning students are given the opportunity to choose their rooms before the end of second semester.
Do I have to share a room?	Only if you have a friend to stay overnight! All rooms are single study bedrooms.
How many bathrooms and toilets are there?	There are 11 showers and 11 toilets and none are more than 15 metres from any room at Medley Hall.
Do I have to move out during the semester breaks?	Your fees cover the 36 weeks of the academic year, including Orientation Week. Most students move out during the semester breaks but if you choose to stay in residence, the cost is $25 per night. Please note during this period there are no meals.
